This serif shows an old-style construction with noticeable stroke modulation and softly bracketed serifs. Curves are generously rounded and slightly organic, with a mild calligraphic taper at terminals and joins that keeps the rhythm lively rather than mechanical. Capitals feel dignified and stable, while lowercase forms are open and readable, with a two-storey “a” and “g” and moderate ascenders/descenders that create an even text color. Figures appear lining and proportional, matching the letterforms with similar contrast and serif treatment.

Well suited to book typography, essays, and editorial layouts where a classic serif voice and comfortable reading rhythm are desired. It also works for refined headlines, pull quotes, and formal collateral that benefits from traditional credibility without looking overly austere.

The overall tone is traditional and cultivated, with a warm, bookish character that recalls printed literature and editorial typography. Its crisp contrast adds formality, while the softened serifs and humanist shapes keep it approachable and comfortable in reading settings.

The design appears intended to deliver a historically grounded, humanist reading face with lively stroke contrast and softened detailing, balancing elegance with dependable legibility for continuous text and editorial display.

In text, the spacing and internal counters maintain clarity at display sizes, and the slightly varied, calligraphy-led contours prevent the face from feeling rigid. The italic is not shown, but the roman exhibits enough directional stress and terminal shaping to suggest a historically informed, print-oriented design.
