A conventional serif with bracketed serifs and gently modulated strokes. The letterforms show a calligraphic, oldstyle influence: round letters have open, generous counters, and curves transition smoothly into stems with soft bracketing rather than abrupt joins. Capitals are stately and evenly proportioned, with wide bowls on B/D/P and a round, open C/G; the uppercase Q carries a clear, outward tail. The lowercase is compact with a notably short x-height, modest ascenders, and deeper descenders; terminals tend toward teardrop/ball-like finishing, especially visible in a, c, e, and f. Numerals share the same serifed, slightly calligraphic construction, with 2 and 3 showing rounded, lively curves and a sturdy, anchored 4 and 7.

Well-suited to book typography, editorial layouts, and other long-form reading where a traditional serif texture is desired. It can also serve for formal headings, pull quotes, and printed materials like programs or invitations that benefit from a classic, literary tone.

The overall tone is bookish and traditional, with a calm, authoritative rhythm suited to serious or cultured settings. Subtle calligraphic detailing adds warmth, keeping it from feeling purely mechanical while still reading as formal and established.

The design appears intended as a dependable, conventional text serif with oldstyle warmth—prioritizing comfortable reading, familiar proportions, and subtle calligraphic refinement over display-driven eccentricity.

Spacing and rhythm read smoothly in the text sample, where the compact lowercase and prominent capitals create a classic, slightly editorial color on the page. The serifs remain clean and consistent, helping maintain clarity while preserving a distinctly traditional texture.
