A robust serif with pronounced thick–thin contrast and clearly bracketed serifs. Curves show a strong vertical stress and a slightly calligraphic modulation, with round forms that swell confidently and taper into crisp joins. Terminals frequently end in soft ball-like shapes (notably in the lowercase), while caps keep a solid, traditional structure with sturdy stems and compact counters. The lowercase maintains a conventional x-height and readable rhythm, and the numerals appear oldstyle, with varied heights and distinctive descenders/ascenders that integrate smoothly with the text color.

Well suited to editorial typography, book and magazine settings, and other long-form reading where a classic serif voice is desired. The strong stroke contrast and substantial weight also make it effective for headlines, pull quotes, and premium branding or packaging that benefits from a traditional, authoritative feel.

The overall tone is traditional and bookish, projecting authority and polish. Its weight and contrast lend a sense of seriousness and ceremony, while the rounded terminals keep it from feeling overly rigid.

The design appears intended as a conventional, high-contrast text serif that delivers a classic reading experience while remaining impactful at display sizes. Its oldstyle-like numerals and rounded terminals suggest an aim to blend historical serif cues with a sturdy, contemporary heft for editorial versatility.

In continuous text the face builds a dense, even color with strong emphasis at vertical strokes. The most distinctive texture comes from the combination of high contrast, generous bracketing, and rounded terminals, which gives headlines a confident, engraved-like presence without becoming sharp or spiky.
