A slanted serif with calligraphic construction and bracketed, wedge-like serifs. Strokes show moderate contrast with tapered terminals and a lively, slightly irregular rhythm that keeps counters open and readable. The capitals are elegant and slightly narrow with sharp, triangular finishing, while the lowercase has a traditional italic flow with a single-storey “a” and “g” and pronounced entry/exit strokes. Numerals follow the same angled, oldstyle sensibility with soft curves and tapered ends.

Well-suited for long-form typography where an italic voice is needed—book emphasis, quotes, captions, and front-matter. It also works for magazine-style editorial layouts and dignified display lines where a classic italic character is desired without becoming overly decorative.

The overall tone is literary and traditional, conveying a classic bookish refinement rather than a modern, technical feel. Its italic energy reads as expressive but controlled, making it feel appropriate for polished editorial settings.

The design appears intended as a conventional text companion italic: a legible, moderately contrasted serif with enough calligraphic nuance to add warmth and tradition while maintaining clarity in continuous reading.

The slant is consistent across cases and figures, and the detailing leans toward pointed, knife-like terminals that add crispness at display sizes. Spacing and letterfit appear comfortable in running text, supporting a steady, readable texture.
