A compact, right-leaning serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and sharp, bracketed wedge serifs. Capitals are sturdy and slightly compressed in feel, with crisp terminals and a consistent diagonal stress that keeps the texture lively. The lowercase shows a calligraphic influence in its curved joins and tapered entry/exit strokes, producing a rhythmic, ink-like color in text. Figures appear oldstyle with varying heights and strong contrast, matching the italic’s flowing baseline movement and varied internal spacing.

Well suited to editorial typography where an italic, high-contrast serif is expected to carry both tone and hierarchy—feature stories, pull quotes, and book interiors. It can also work effectively for literary or heritage-flavored titling, and for premium packaging or labels where a traditional, energetic serif voice is desired.

The overall tone is formal and literary, with a confident, slightly dramatic slant that reads as traditional rather than casual. Its energetic stroke contrast and brisk terminals add an editorial edge, giving paragraphs a purposeful, classic voice.

The design appears intended to deliver a classic text-serif foundation with an italic that feels distinctly calligraphic and emphatic. Its strong contrast, sharp serifs, and animated rhythm suggest a focus on elegant readability with a more expressive, editorial character than a purely neutral text face.

In longer samples the font builds a dense, dark typographic color; the sharp serifs and strong modulation create clear word shapes but benefit from comfortable leading and moderate tracking. The italic construction remains structured and typographic (not script), balancing crisp serifs with expressive curves.
