This is a slanted serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and crisp, bracketed serifs. Uppercase forms are broad and steady with strong vertical stress and tapered terminals, while the lowercase shows more calligraphic movement, including a single-storey italic-style “a” and flowing joins in letters like “m” and “n.” Curves are full and smooth, counters are moderately open, and details like the angled cross-strokes and wedge-like finishing give the outlines a sculpted, traditional texture. Figures follow the same slanted, high-contrast construction with clear, old-style-inspired silhouettes.

Well-suited to editorial layouts, book typography, and magazine features where a traditional serif voice with italic energy is desirable. It can also serve in branding and packaging that aims for heritage, craftsmanship, or established credibility, particularly in headings, pull quotes, and short passages of text.

The overall tone is classic and cultivated, suggesting literary or institutional typography rather than casual display. Its energetic slant and sharp finishing add a sense of momentum and drama, giving it an editorial voice that feels confident and slightly theatrical.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional serif reading experience while leveraging a lively slanted construction and calligraphic detailing for emphasis and character. It balances formal proportions with expressive italic cues to remain readable yet distinctive in editorial settings.

Stroke contrast is emphasized in both straight stems and curved bowls, producing a strong rhythm at text sizes and a refined sparkle in headlines. The italic construction in the lowercase is especially expressive, with visible entry/exit strokes and a slightly handwritten cadence that contrasts with the more stately uppercase.
