A heavy, angular blackletter with sharply faceted strokes and pronounced, chiseled-looking terminals. Vertical stems dominate, with tight internal counters and frequent diamond-like joins that create a rhythmic, tessellated texture across words. Contrast is expressed through thick main strokes paired with thinner connecting cuts and notches, giving forms a carved, ribbon-and-blade feel. Capitals are ornate but structured, and numerals follow the same pointed, segmented construction for consistent color in display settings.

Best suited to display typography such as posters, headlines, mastheads, and branding marks where the bold texture can be a focal point. It also fits album covers, event materials, labels, and packaging that benefit from a historic or ceremonial voice. For longer passages, it performs better in short bursts—pull quotes, titles, or section headers—set large with ample leading.

The overall tone is traditional and emphatic, evoking manuscripts, crests, and formal proclamations. Its strong black massing and sharp edges read as authoritative and dramatic, with a ceremonial, old-world gravitas.

The design appears intended to deliver a classic blackletter presence with strong, sculpted silhouettes and consistent angular detailing, prioritizing visual impact and period character over continuous-text readability. Its cohesive treatment of caps, lowercase, and numerals suggests a focus on unified, emblematic display typography.

Spacing appears relatively tight, and the dense interior shapes can cause small sizes to fill in, especially in round letters where counters are small. The distinctive blackletter rhythm is most legible when given generous size and line spacing, letting the angular cuts and internal voids remain clear.
