A high-contrast serif with strong vertical stems and very fine hairlines, producing a crisp black-and-white rhythm on the page. Serifs are sharply defined and largely bracketed, with pointed, beak-like terminals that add bite to curves and diagonals. Uppercase forms are stately and compact with prominent thick–thin transitions, while the lowercase shows traditional, calligraphic construction—noticeably in the double-storey a and g, the angled ear of g, and the tapered, wedge-like finishing strokes. Numerals follow the same display-leaning logic, with bold main strokes and hairline cross strokes and terminals that stay clean and precise at large sizes.

Well suited to headlines, magazine typography, pull quotes, and other editorial settings where a polished, high-end voice is desired. It can also support book covers and branding systems that want a classic serif presence with a dramatic, contemporary edge.

The overall tone is refined and formal, with a pronounced fashion-and-editorial sensibility. Its sharp detailing and dramatic contrast convey confidence, tradition, and a sense of premium craft, reading as elegant rather than casual.

The design appears intended to deliver a traditional serif structure with heightened contrast and sharpened finishing strokes, aiming for impact and sophistication in display and editorial contexts while retaining familiar, readable letterforms.

In the text sample, the dense contrast and crisp terminals create a lively texture that feels best when given generous size and spacing. Tight counters and delicate hairlines suggest careful attention to reproduction conditions, as the thin strokes can become visually fragile when reduced or printed poorly.
