A high-contrast italic serif with a pronounced slant and crisp, hairline serifs. Thick vertical strokes pair with extremely thin connecting strokes, creating a vivid light–dark rhythm and a distinctly “engraved” texture in text. Serifs are fine and largely unbracketed, with sharp wedge-like entry/exit points and tapered terminals. Capitals are tall and stately, while the lowercase shows flowing, calligraphic movement and narrow joins; several glyphs exhibit strong stroke modulation and pointed beaks on forms like c/e and the arm of r. Numerals follow the same contrast and italic angle, with curved figures showing thin hairline transitions and sturdy main stems.

Well-suited to editorial headlines, pull quotes, and refined branding where an upscale italic serif is desired. It also works as a companion italic for book or long-form typography when used for emphasis and short passages, and it can lend a formal tone to invitations and event materials.

The overall tone is formal and cultured, with a sense of fashion-editorial polish and classic book typography. Its sharp contrasts and swift italic motion feel expressive and slightly dramatic, giving headings and emphasized passages a refined, confident voice.

The design appears intended to deliver a classic, high-contrast italic with sharp, modern precision—emphasizing elegance, speed, and contrast-driven drama for sophisticated typography.

In running text, the extreme contrast and thin hairlines produce a sparkling, airy color that benefits from adequate size and good reproduction conditions. The italic angle and tapering details are consistent across letters and figures, supporting cohesive emphasis, titling, and display use.
