This serif has finely bracketed serifs and pronounced stroke contrast, with crisp, slightly tapered terminals that give strokes a carved, calligraphic feel. Capitals are stately and moderately wide with sharp apexes and confident vertical stress, while lowercase forms show traditional oldstyle influences, including a two-storey “a,” a compact “e,” and a “g” with a rounded lower bowl and defined ear. The numerals are proportioned for text, with clear differentiation and strong vertical rhythm, and overall spacing reads even and composed in paragraph settings.

Well suited for long-form reading such as books, essays, and reports, as well as magazine and editorial layouts where a classic serif voice is desired. It can also support identity work for institutions, cultural organizations, and premium goods when paired with restrained typography and ample whitespace.

The tone is traditional and cultivated, suited to serious, text-forward communication. Its high-contrast modulation and sharp detailing add a sense of ceremony and refinement without becoming ornate.

The design appears intended as a contemporary, conventional text serif that leans on classical book typography: strong contrast, disciplined proportions, and crisp serif detailing for a refined reading experience.

In continuous text the face maintains a steady baseline and consistent color, but the sharp serifs and contrast make it feel most at home at comfortable reading sizes and above. The “Q” features a distinctive tail treatment that adds character, and the overall drawing favors clarity and classical proportion over softness.
