A slanted, calligraphic serif with brush-like construction and deliberately uneven, roughened edges. Strokes show natural-looking modulation with tapered terminals, occasional blots, and slight wobble that mimics ink on absorbent paper. Serifs are softly formed rather than sharply bracketed, and letter widths vary noticeably, giving the text an irregular rhythm. The lowercase is lively and open, with long ascenders/descenders and a single-storey feel in many forms, while figures are similarly hand-drawn and slightly inconsistent in width and curvature.

Best suited to display typography where its distressed, brushy texture can be appreciated—posters, titles, chapter openers, packaging, and themed branding. It can work for short passages or pull quotes when set with generous size and spacing, but it’s most effective as an accent face rather than for small, information-dense copy.

The overall tone feels antique and handmade, with a dark, slightly uncanny storybook quality. Its rough texture and energetic slant suggest old printed ephemera, spellbook headings, or rustic signage rather than contemporary polish.

The design appears intended to simulate a vintage, hand-inked italic with intentionally imperfect printing artifacts. Its variable letter widths, textured edges, and calligraphic terminals aim to deliver an expressive, period-flavored voice for atmospheric and theme-driven applications.

In continuous text the texture becomes a prominent part of the color, creating a mottled, “inked” surface that reads best at moderate to large sizes. The irregular contours add character but can reduce crispness in dense settings, especially where narrow counters and tapered joins cluster.
