A refined serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and softly bracketed serifs. The capitals feel classical and measured, with sharp, wedge-like terminals and clean, slightly flared finishing strokes. Lowercase forms show calligraphic influence in their diagonal stress and gently asymmetric curves, with a compact x-height and clear ascenders/descenders that create an elegant vertical rhythm. Counters are generally open and the overall color stays crisp and articulate, especially in text where the contrast and serifs define a steady line structure.

This face is well suited to long-form reading in books, journals, and editorial layouts where a classic serif texture is desired. It also works effectively for pull quotes, chapter titles, and refined branding applications that benefit from an established, literary voice.

The tone is traditional and cultivated, leaning toward bookish elegance rather than display flamboyance. It communicates quiet authority and polish, with a warm, human cadence that feels appropriate for established institutions and editorial settings.

The design appears intended to reinterpret old-style, calligraphically rooted proportions with a polished, contemporary finish. Its goal seems to be delivering an elegant text rhythm and confident typographic voice while preserving warmth and traditional credibility.

Figures appear to follow an old-style pattern with varying heights and softer, flowing contours, integrating smoothly with lowercase text. The lowercase ‘g’ is double-storey with a distinct ear, and the overall punctuation and curves maintain a consistent, restrained sharpness at terminals.
