A high-contrast serif with expansive proportions and pronounced thick–thin modulation. Serifs are sharply cut and slightly bracketed, with occasional flared, wedge-like terminals that give strokes a chiseled, calligraphic finish. Round letters show crisp, tensioned curves and relatively tight inner counters, while capitals carry broad, stately spacing and a strong horizontal presence. The lowercase features sturdy, dark joins and noticeable entry/exit strokes, producing a patterned, rhythmic texture at text sizes.

Best suited for headlines, cover typography, and editorial display where its wide proportions and sharp serif detailing can be appreciated. It can also work for short-form text such as pull quotes or section openers, but will feel most comfortable when given generous spacing and size.

The overall tone is authoritative and classic, with a slightly theatrical sharpness created by the dramatic contrast and pointed detailing. It feels bookish and ceremonial—more “statement serif” than neutral workhorse—suited to settings where tradition and impact are both desired.

The design appears aimed at delivering a traditional serif voice with heightened drama—combining classical proportions with crisp, calligraphic details to produce an impactful, premium reading presence. Its letterforms prioritize authority and visual distinction over quiet neutrality.

In the sample text, the wide stance and strong contrast create prominent word shapes and a bold page color, especially in all-caps and larger sizes. Numerals and capitals read as display-forward, while the lowercase maintains a consistent, sturdy rhythm despite the pronounced modulation.
