This is an italic slab-serif with sturdy, squared serifs and gently rounded bracket transitions. Strokes are relatively even, with a subtle modulation that reads more as calligraphic shaping than high contrast. The italic angle is consistent and gives the forms a forward rhythm; curves are open and generously spaced, with prominent entry/exit strokes on lowercase. The lowercase shows a single-storey “a” and “g” and a long, flowing “f,” while caps are wide and steady with confident serifs and a slightly oldstyle, editorial texture. Numerals are clear and traditional in feel, matching the serifed, slightly slanted construction.

Well-suited to editorial typography such as books, magazines, essays, and long-form articles where an italic voice is needed without becoming delicate. It also works well for pull quotes, introductions, and branding that wants a classic, authoritative tone with a slightly crafted feel.

The overall tone feels literary and editorial—confident and traditional, but with enough italic motion to feel lively rather than formal. The slab serifs add authority and structure, while the softened brackets and open counters keep it approachable and readable.

The font appears intended as a readable, characterful italic slab serif for continuous text and emphasis, combining robust serif structure with flowing italic movement to maintain clarity while adding personality.

The design leans on strong horizontals in the serifs and terminals, giving lines of text a stable baseline even in italic. Italic joins and tails (notably in letters like a, f, g, y) create a distinctive texture that becomes more expressive at larger sizes.
