A high-contrast serif with sharply tapered hairlines and strong, sculpted main strokes. Serifs are fine and neatly bracketed, with pointed terminals and a slightly calligraphic modulation that gives the outlines a polished, chiseled feel. Capitals are stately and relatively narrow, while lowercase shows compact, controlled forms with tight apertures and crisp joins; curves (notably in O/Q/C/G and e/c) are smooth and tensioned. Numerals follow the same dramatic contrast, with small details like a flag on the 1 and a more ornate 9 that add a subtle display flavor without breaking overall consistency.

It performs especially well for editorial typography—headlines, pull quotes, and display lines where contrast and detail can be appreciated. It also suits refined branding and book-cover titling, and can work for shorter text passages when set with comfortable leading and not-too-small sizes.

The font conveys a poised, upscale tone—traditional at a glance, but with enough sharpness and contrast to feel fashion-forward. Its rhythm reads confident and formal, with a crisp, print-like sophistication suited to high-end editorial settings.

The design appears intended to deliver a classic serif reading impression with heightened contrast and carefully finished details, bridging text tradition and modern editorial drama.

In text, the strong contrast and fine serifs create a vivid light–dark pattern that rewards generous sizing and spacing. Distinctive details such as the Q’s extended tail and the slightly ornamental curves in select numerals give it personality while remaining firmly within a conventional text-serif voice.
