A refined text serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and gently bracketed serifs. The letterforms are compact and vertically oriented, with a modest x-height and relatively tall ascenders, producing an elegant, bookish rhythm. Bowls show a subtle diagonal stress, and the joins and terminals are clean and sharply finished without feeling brittle. Spacing reads disciplined and slightly tight, supporting continuous reading while keeping a composed, typographic color on the page.

Well suited to long-form reading in books, journals, and editorial layouts where a classic serif voice is desired. It also works effectively for formal collateral—programs, invitations, and institutional communications—especially when set with generous leading to let the contrast breathe.

The overall tone is traditional and cultivated, with a quiet formality typical of editorial and literary typography. Its high-contrast strokes and crisp serifs lend an authoritative, “printed” feel suited to serious, conventional settings rather than casual or playful ones.

The design appears intended as a conventional, high-contrast reading serif that evokes classical printing traditions while maintaining a clean, contemporary finish. Its proportions and restrained detailing suggest a focus on dependable text setting with a dignified, polished presence.

The lowercase exhibits a two-storey “a” and “g,” and the text sample shows oldstyle numerals that blend smoothly with lowercase rhythm. Capitals are restrained and balanced, with a classical construction that favors clarity and poise over overt display theatrics.
