A very heavy slab serif with broad, firmly planted serifs and a compact, muscular color on the page. Strokes show noticeable contrast for the style, with thick verticals and comparatively thinner connections and joins, giving counters a carved, chiseled feel. Serifs are mostly square-ended with subtle bracketing and occasional wedge-like shaping, and the curves (notably in C, G, O, S) are full and rounded, balancing the otherwise blocky construction. Lowercase forms are sturdy and slightly condensed in feel, with a single-storey a and g and pronounced shoulders on n/m; the overall rhythm is tight and emphatic, built for large sizes.

Best suited to display typography where weight and character are assets: posters, bold headlines, storefront or event signage, and packaging that needs a traditional, attention-grabbing voice. It can also work for short editorial callouts and pull quotes, but its dense color will dominate at smaller sizes or in long passages.

The tone reads bold and assertive with a vintage, workmanlike character—evoking wood type, traditional display printing, and old-fashioned signage. Its strong serifs and high-contrast heft communicate confidence and a touch of rustic theatricality, making text feel declarative rather than delicate.

The design appears intended to deliver a classic slab-serif display look with strong impact and a nostalgic print sensibility, maintaining legibility through open counters while maximizing boldness and presence.

The numerals and capitals are designed to hold a consistent, poster-like silhouette, with generous interior shaping to keep counters open despite the weight. Shapes like Q (with a prominent tail) and the robust diagonals in K/V/W/X reinforce the font’s energetic, punchy presence in all-caps settings.
