A vigorous old-style serif with a pronounced rightward slant and lively, calligraphy-led stroke modulation. Thick–thin contrast is strong, with tapered terminals and bracketed, wedge-like serifs that feel cut by a broad nib rather than mechanically drawn. Capitals are sturdy and slightly wide with crisp joins and flaring feet, while the lowercase shows varied widths, rounded bowls, and rhythmic entry/exit strokes that add texture in continuous reading. Numerals and punctuation match the overall weight and modulation, maintaining the same angled stress and sculpted finishing throughout.

Best suited to editorial typography where a traditional voice and strong typographic color are desired, such as magazine features, book covers, and section headers. It also works well for branding and posters that need a classic serif with energetic motion, especially at display sizes where the modulation and wedge serifs can be appreciated.

The font reads as classic and bookish, with a warm, human touch that keeps it from feeling rigid. Its slanted, high-contrast forms convey confidence and tradition, lending an editorial, slightly dramatic tone suited to refined display and emphatic text.

The design appears intended to translate humanist, old-style calligraphic structure into a bolder, more theatrical italic voice—preserving warmth and readability while adding sharper contrast and a more declarative presence for titles and emphasis.

The italic construction appears integral to the design rather than a simple slant, with diagonally stressed bowls and distinctly shaped lowercase forms that create a dynamic baseline movement. At larger sizes the sharp serifs and pointed terminals become a defining feature, giving headlines a crisp, engraved presence.
