This typeface is a high‑contrast serif with a strongly calligraphic construction and tapered, flared stroke endings. Vertical stems dominate while hairlines stay fine and crisp, creating a pronounced thick–thin rhythm and a polished page color. Serifs are sharp and wedge-like with clear bracketing and flare, and curves show pointed terminals in places (notably in letters like a, s, and y). Proportions are fairly traditional with compact lowercase forms, narrow apertures, and a mix of straight, authoritative capitals alongside livelier, more modulated lowercase shapes.

Best suited to display and larger text settings where its contrast and sharp detailing can be appreciated—such as magazine headlines, book covers, cultural posters, and brand identities. It can also work for short editorial subheads or pull quotes when ample size and spacing are available.

The overall tone is elegant and editorial, leaning toward classic book and magazine typography with a touch of dramatic sophistication. Its sharp terminals and strong contrast add a slightly assertive, fashion-forward feel while still reading as formal and traditional.

The design appears intended to deliver a modernized classical serif voice: traditional proportions and structure paired with sharper, flared endings and a distinctly calligraphic modulation for added character in contemporary editorial and branding contexts.

The uppercase set reads stately and stable, while the lowercase introduces more idiosyncratic, calligraphy-driven details (such as the single-storey a and the expressive g). Numerals follow the same high-contrast logic and appear designed to stand up well in display sizes, with crisp joins and pronounced terminals.
