A decorative serif with an engraved, outer-contour construction and frequent interior voids that create a hollowed, cut-out look. Strokes feel irregular and hand-drawn, with jagged edges, sharp hooks, and tapered terminals that vary from glyph to glyph. Serifs are spiky and expressive rather than classical, and many counters are pierced or distressed, producing a mottled internal texture. The rhythm is lively and uneven, with individual letterforms showing distinct character and slightly shifting stroke behavior across the set.

Best suited to display use such as posters, title treatments, packaging, book covers, and event graphics where a gothic or spooky flavor is desirable. It can work as a short-text accent font for branding or labels, but the distressed hollow details make it less suitable for long passages at small sizes.

The overall tone reads gothic and arcane—part antique print, part Halloween signage—with a playful, slightly chaotic energy. The hollowed interiors and scratchy contours give it a haunted, storybook atmosphere that feels more illustrative than typographic.

The design appears intended to evoke an aged, carved or ink-scratched outline style, prioritizing atmosphere and ornament over neutrality. Its irregular contours and pierced interiors suggest a deliberate distressed effect aimed at dramatic, themed display typography.

In text settings the internal cut-outs and rough contours create strong visual noise, especially where letters repeat or sit closely; generous tracking and larger sizes help preserve letter identity. Rounded forms like O/Q and numerals emphasize the carved/outlined effect, while diagonals and joins (K, M, N, W, X) lean into a more dramatic, splintered silhouette.
