A slanted serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and a lively, calligraphic rhythm. Serifs are bracketed and wedge-like, with many strokes finishing in tapered, slightly hooked terminals that emphasize the diagonal movement. The capitals have classic proportions and sharp entry strokes, while the lowercase shows rounded bowls and a smoothly flowing texture, with single-storey forms where visible (notably the a and g). Numerals follow the same italic, high-contrast construction and sit comfortably alongside the letters, maintaining consistent stroke logic and curvature.

Works well for italic emphasis within body text, as well as for editorial headlines, pull quotes, and literary titling where an elegant slanted serif is desired. The crisp contrast and expressive terminals also make it suitable for formal invitations, branding accents, and short passages set at larger sizes.

The overall tone is bookish and polished, evoking traditional print typography with a touch of handwriting-derived flair. It feels formal and cultured rather than sporty or geometric, suited to content that benefits from a refined, slightly dramatic voice.

Designed to provide a classic italic companion with clear serif structure while retaining the expressive modulation and stroke endings associated with calligraphic construction. The intention appears to balance traditional readability with a refined, decorative edge for emphasis and display.

In longer text the strong contrast and angled stress create a bright, animated line, with distinctive gesture in letters like f, j, and y where descenders sweep and taper. The forms read as conventional and familiar at a glance, but the pointed serifs and energetic terminals add personality in display sizes.
