A robust serif with bracketed serifs, rounded joins, and a confident, compact stance. Strokes show clear thick–thin modulation without becoming delicate, and the serifs read as softened wedges rather than hard slabs. Capitals are broad and steady with ample vertical stems, while lowercase forms are sturdy with a relatively large x-height and compact apertures that maintain clarity in dense settings. Numerals and punctuation match the overall weight and adopt the same rounded, slightly cushioned finishing details.

It works well for book and long-form editorial typography where a classic serif voice and firm color on the page are desired. The weight and compact spacing also support headlines, subheads, and pull quotes, and it can serve branding and printed collateral that need a conventional, trustworthy tone.

The tone is traditional and editorial, conveying authority and familiarity. Its rounded, bracketed detailing keeps it from feeling severe, lending a warm, bookish confidence that suits institutional and literary contexts.

The design appears intended as a conventional text serif that prioritizes stability, readability, and a familiar literary character, while using rounded bracketing and softened terminals to keep the voice approachable.

The overall rhythm is tight and even, with strong vertical emphasis and consistent serif treatment across the set. Curves (notably in C, G, O, Q and the bowls of a, b, p) feel full and controlled, and terminals often end in subtly rounded, ball-like shapes that add softness to an otherwise formal build.
