A refined serif with dramatic thick–thin modulation and crisp, hairline finishing strokes. Serifs are bracketed yet delicate, and many letters end in subtle ball terminals or teardrop-like dots (notably on forms such as J, Q, and several lowercase joins). The capitals feel stately with wide, open counters and carefully tapered arms, while the lowercase pairs a traditional two-storey a with a lively, slightly calligraphic rhythm. Overall spacing reads balanced and airy, letting the high-contrast strokes and fine details stay legible at display sizes.

This font is well suited to editorial headlines, magazine typography, and book-cover titling where contrast and fine serifs can shine. It also fits premium branding and formal printed pieces such as invitations or programs, particularly when set at larger sizes with generous spacing.

The tone is polished and literary, leaning toward fashion and editorial sophistication rather than utilitarian neutrality. It conveys a sense of tradition and authority with a touch of flourish, suitable for settings where elegance and craftsmanship should be felt.

The design appears intended to modernize a classical serif model through pronounced contrast, razor-fine serifs, and controlled decorative terminals, creating a high-end look while retaining familiar text-serif structures.

Several glyphs show distinctive terminal treatments—rounded dots and curved beaks—adding personality without becoming ornamental. Numerals keep the same high-contrast logic and feel tailored for headline use, with especially decorative curves on figures like 2, 3, 5, and 9.
