A high-contrast serif with sturdy verticals, sharply thinned hairlines, and pronounced flaring at stroke endings that reads as wedge-like, softly bracketed serifs. The letterforms are fairly broad with generous internal counters, creating a steady, open rhythm in text. Curves show a calligraphic modulation—noticeable in the rounded letters and the lowercase where terminals often finish in teardrop or ball-like shapes. Numerals and capitals carry a strong, poster-ready presence, while the lowercase maintains clear differentiation and crisp joins without feeling mechanical.

Best suited to headlines, decks, pull quotes, and other large-size typography where the contrast and flared endings can be appreciated. It also works well for editorial branding, book and magazine covers, and packaging that benefits from a traditional-but-bold serif voice. For longer passages, it will be most comfortable when given adequate size and line spacing to keep the contrast from feeling dense.

The overall tone is classic and authoritative with a slightly theatrical edge, like a modernized book serif turned up for display. It communicates confidence and tradition, making headlines feel weighty and editorial rather than neutral. The flared endings and shiny contrast add a sense of crafted elegance and a hint of vintage formality.

The design appears intended to merge classical serif structure with expressive, flared stroke endings for a more sculptural, display-forward texture. It aims to deliver a prestigious, editorial feel while keeping counters open and letterforms robust enough for impactful titling.

In the sample text, the strong contrast and flared terminals produce a vivid light–dark pattern that stays legible at large sizes and gives words a sculpted silhouette. Round letters remain stable and open, and the punctuation and figures visually match the heavy, high-contrast texture of the alphabet.
