A very heavy, high-contrast serif display face with strongly flared, wedge-like terminals and compact, sculpted counters. Serifs are short and integrated into the strokes, often reading as carved notches or spur-like cuts rather than flat slabs, giving many letters a chiseled silhouette. Curves are broad and bulbous (notably in bowls and rounds) while joins and terminals show sharp, decorative cut-ins that create a lively, irregular edge rhythm. The lowercase is large relative to the caps, with sturdy stems and rounded forms; overall spacing feels tight and poster-like, prioritizing mass and shape over fine detail.

Best suited to large sizes where the carved terminals and dramatic contrast can be appreciated—headlines, posters, brand marks, packaging, and display signage. It can also work for short, punchy text like event titles or product names, but its dense color and decorative cuts make it less appropriate for long reading passages.

The tone is theatrical and old-timey, suggesting vintage show cards, fairground signage, and Victorian-era advertising. Its exaggerated weight and ornamental cuts add a playful bravado that reads more as entertainment than formal editorial typography.

The design appears intended to deliver maximum impact and character in display settings, combining classic serif structure with decorative, carved-in details to evoke period signage and theatrical print styles.

Distinctive interior notches appear in several capitals and key lowercase forms, creating a consistent “carved” motif across the alphabet and numerals. The numerals are similarly weighty and decorative, with bold curves and sharp spur details that keep them stylistically aligned with the letters.
