This face blends old-style serif letterforms with a visibly distressed, ink-worn texture. Strokes show uneven thickness and ragged contours, with blunted terminals and occasional blobs or bite-marks that suggest degraded printing or rough brush-ink transfer. Serifs are present but irregular, and curves are slightly lopsided, giving the alphabet an organic, hand-formed rhythm rather than strict geometric consistency. Lowercase forms are compact with a comparatively small x-height and lively ascenders/descenders, while spacing and character widths vary enough to create a subtly unsettled line color.

Use it for display typography where atmosphere matters: horror and fantasy titling, game and film posters, theatrical branding, album art, and dramatic chapter heads. It also works for short quotes or pull lines when set large, where the worn texture becomes a deliberate stylistic feature rather than a legibility constraint.

The overall tone feels archaic and theatrical—like a found text from a folk tale, spellbook, or weathered placard. Its roughened texture adds suspense and grit, leaning toward gothic and eerie without becoming fully blackletter.

The design appears intended to evoke aged, imperfect printing and hand-inked lettering, pairing classical serif structure with deliberate erosion and ink scatter. The goal is to deliver instant narrative character—mysterious, antique, and slightly menacing—while still retaining recognizable Latin letterforms.

At text sizes the distressed edges remain prominent and can darken counters in places, so the face reads best when allowed some scale and breathing room. The italic slant and irregular stroke endings create energetic motion, especially in capitals and the more angular diagonals.
