A refined serif with moderate stroke contrast and a steady, upright rhythm. Stems frequently widen into subtly flared, bracketed endings, giving the serifs a sculpted, calligraphic feel rather than a purely mechanical finish. Curves are smooth and generously rounded (notably in O/C/G), while joins and terminals often resolve into teardrop-like shapes, especially in the lower-case. Proportions feel balanced and traditional, with clear differentiation between thick verticals and lighter connecting strokes; the lowercase shows a fairly even color and comfortable spacing suited to continuous reading. Numerals appear oldstyle with varying heights and a more text-like rhythm than lining figures.

Well-suited to book typography, essays, and editorial layouts where an authoritative but approachable serif texture is desirable. It can also support refined branding for publishers, cultural institutions, and products that benefit from a traditional, crafted voice, and works well for headlines when a classic serif presence is needed without extreme contrast.

The tone is classic and bookish, evoking traditional publishing and academic settings. Its flared endings and softened terminals add warmth and a slightly historic, humanist character, while the overall construction remains controlled and formal.

The design appears intended to deliver a dependable text serif with added warmth through flared, calligraphy-influenced terminals. It aims to balance readability and tradition with a subtly distinctive finish that keeps paragraphs lively and elegant.

Round letters stay open and clean at the apertures, and diagonals in letters like V/W/X maintain crisp edges without becoming overly sharp. The lowercase has a distinctly serifed, literary texture, and the figures integrate naturally with running text due to their mixed extents.
