A weighty, high-contrast serif with broad proportions and strongly sculpted letterforms. Stems are thick and dark, while hairlines are extremely thin, producing crisp internal counters and a punchy page color. Serifs are bracketed and often flare into beak-like or wedge-shaped terminals, with occasional ball terminals and tapered entry/exit strokes that give the outlines a carved, calligraphic feel despite an upright stance. Curves are generous and rounded (notably in bowls), and joins are sharp and clean, creating a refined but emphatic rhythm in both caps and lowercase.

Best suited to headlines, pull quotes, magazine and newspaper display typography, and brand marks where its contrast and sculpted serifs can be appreciated. It also works for premium packaging, invitations, and editorial subheads when set with comfortable size and leading to preserve the fine hairlines.

The tone is assertive and luxurious, evoking traditional print craft with a dramatic, fashion-forward edge. Its strong contrast and sculpted terminals read as classic and prestigious, while the bold massing adds a contemporary, attention-grabbing presence.

The design appears intended to modernize a conventional serif model by amplifying contrast, widening proportions, and adding expressive, flared terminals for a more theatrical, high-impact reading experience. It prioritizes presence and elegance over neutral invisibility, aiming for a distinctive editorial voice.

In text settings the dense verticals and fine hairlines create a lively texture; spacing appears intentionally open enough to keep the heavy shapes from clogging, but the contrast can make hairline details feel delicate at smaller sizes. Numerals follow the same high-contrast, sculpted construction, maintaining a cohesive, display-leaning voice.
