A classic serif with strongly bracketed serifs, tapered stroke endings, and clear thick–thin modulation. The capitals are stately and open with gently flared terminals, while the lowercase shows oldstyle influences, including a two-storey “g” with a generous loop and a “y” with a curved descender. Curves are smooth and round, counters are open, and spacing feels even and text-forward, producing a steady reading rhythm. Numerals are proportionate with noticeable contrast and traditional shapes that align well with the text color.

Well-suited to long-form reading in books, essays, and reports, as well as editorial layouts where a conventional, trustworthy serif is desired. It can also support headings and pull quotes when set with appropriate leading, taking advantage of its contrast and refined details.
