A high-contrast italic serif with sharply tapered strokes, bracketed wedge-like serifs, and an energetic rightward slant. The letterforms show a crisp, engraved feel: hairlines are thin and delicate, while main stems and curves swell noticeably, creating a strong thick–thin rhythm. Counters are moderately compact and the fit is fairly tight, giving text a dense, polished color on the page. Terminals often finish in pointed, slightly hooked shapes that add motion, and the overall drawing keeps a controlled, traditional structure despite the lively stroke modulation.

Well suited to editorial typography where an elegant italic is needed for emphasis, introductions, or short-form passages. It can also perform effectively in magazine and book contexts for pull quotes, subheads, and refined headlines where a classic serif tone and a lively slanted texture are desirable.

The font conveys a classic, literary tone with a refined, authoritative voice. Its pronounced contrast and brisk italic movement suggest sophistication and a slightly dramatic, editorial character rather than a casual or purely utilitarian mood.

The design appears intended as a traditional italic companion with pronounced thick–thin contrast and a calligraphic edge, aimed at adding elegance and emphasis within conventional serif typography. Its controlled proportions and crisp detailing suggest a focus on formal readability and a polished, print-oriented texture.

In running text, the strong contrast creates a clear vertical rhythm and a distinctly italic texture, with emphasis cues that feel built-in. Numerals follow the same contrast pattern and read as traditional, leaning figures suited to typographic composition alongside the letters.
