A robust serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and a lively, calligraphic underpinning. Serifs are sharply cut yet generally bracketed into the stems, with several letters showing wedge-like feet and crisp beak terminals. Round letters feature sculpted, slightly squared counters and occasional teardrop/ball finishing, giving the forms a tangible, ink-trap-free solidity. The lowercase has a traditional rhythm with compact apertures and a moderate presence of ascenders/descenders; overall spacing reads even and text-ready while retaining a strong display silhouette.

Well suited to editorial typography where a traditional serif voice is desired—magazine titles, feature headings, book jackets, and institutional branding. It can also serve as a text face in shorter-to-medium reading settings where a darker typographic color and strong contrast are appropriate.

The tone is traditional and authoritative, with a distinctly bookish, editorial character. Its sculpted details and high-contrast stress add a sense of heritage and ceremony, lending gravitas to headings and a refined seriousness to longer passages.

The design appears aimed at delivering a conventional, heritage serif look with extra weight and sharply articulated terminals for confident presence. Its balance of sturdy stems and refined contrast suggests an intention to bridge display impact and classic text tradition.

Distinctive details include the expressive tail on the Q, a two-storey a, a compact two-storey g, and numerals with classic serifed construction that match the strong contrast and finishing throughout. The bold color is substantial, so at larger sizes the sharp terminals and bracket transitions become a prominent part of the voice.
