This is an italic text serif with bracketed serifs and a gently calligraphic construction. Strokes show a clear diagonal axis with modest thick–thin modulation, and terminals frequently end in tapered, slightly cupped serif shapes. Uppercase forms are narrow and poised with sharp joins and angled stress, while the lowercase is more fluid, featuring a single-story “a,” looped “g,” and a long, descending “f” that reinforces the slanted rhythm. Figures are proportional-looking and similarly slanted, with open counters and crisp edges that keep the texture clean at text sizes.

It is well-suited to extended reading in books and editorial layouts, especially where an italic voice is needed for emphasis, quotations, or secondary text. The restrained contrast and consistent serif detailing also make it a strong choice for magazine typography, formal invitations, and cultured branding that benefits from a classical tone.

The overall tone feels traditional and bookish, with a refined, slightly old-style elegance. Its slant and pen-like modulation add a sense of movement and polish, suggesting cultivated, editorial seriousness rather than casual informality.

The design appears intended as a conventional italic companion for text typography, prioritizing readable rhythm and a polished, traditional color on the page. Its calligraphic cues are subtle, aiming for versatility in continuous text while still providing a distinctive, elegant italic character.

The italic angle is pronounced enough to create a lively, forward pull in paragraphs, and the spacing appears balanced to form an even grey value without looking dense. Round letters maintain generous apertures, and the serif shaping stays consistent across caps, lowercase, and numerals, contributing to a cohesive page color.
