This typeface is a high-contrast italic serif with sharply tapered entry and exit strokes and finely bracketed serifs. Letterforms lean with a lively, calligraphic rhythm: curves are smooth and taut, joins are crisp, and terminals often end in pointed or subtly flared tips. The capitals feel stately and sculpted, while the lowercase shows pronounced italic construction with single-storey a and g, narrow counters, and long, expressive descenders (notably on f, g, j, p, q, and y). Numerals follow the same contrasty, old-style-leaning modulation, keeping a cohesive texture across mixed text.

Well suited to editorial typography—magazine features, book interiors, pull quotes, and refined headlines—where an expressive italic can add emphasis without departing from a classic serif voice. It can also serve as a strong companion italic for branding or packaging systems that want a traditional, upscale impression.

The overall tone is cultured and confident, with a distinctly literary, editorial flavor. Its sweeping italic movement reads as sophisticated and expressive rather than casual, suggesting tradition, taste, and a hint of drama in display settings.

The design appears intended to deliver a classic, high-contrast italic with clear calligraphic roots, balancing formal serif conventions with energetic movement for emphasis and display. It prioritizes elegance and rhythmic texture, aiming to look polished in editorial and literary contexts.

In text, the strong thick–thin modulation and sharp hairlines create a vivid sparkle on white space, especially at larger sizes. The italic slant is consistent across cases, and the more elaborate lowercase shapes add character in headlines and short passages while still maintaining a conventional serif structure.
