A high-contrast italic serif with tapered strokes and strongly bracketed, wedge-like serifs. The letterforms show a calligraphic construction: stress is angled, joins are gently modulated, and terminals often finish with soft teardrops or flicks. Proportions feel traditional, with moderate ascenders/descenders and a normal x-height; the rhythm is lively thanks to the italic slant and varied stroke swelling. Capitals are stately and slightly wide, while lowercase forms keep readable, open counters and a smoothly flowing texture in text.

Well-suited to editorial typography, book and magazine headlines, pull quotes, and other settings where an elegant italic voice is desired. It also fits refined branding and printed materials such as invitations or announcements, especially when used at medium-to-large sizes where the high-contrast detailing and tapered serifs can be appreciated.

The overall tone is classic and literary, with a refined, slightly old-world elegance. Its italic energy adds warmth and movement, reading as expressive rather than mechanical, and suggesting a more human, crafted sensibility suitable for cultured and traditional contexts.

The design appears intended to provide a conventional text-serif foundation with a distinctly calligraphic italic character, balancing readability with expressive, crafted details. It aims to evoke traditional print typography while adding a lively, personal rhythm through angled stress and pronounced modulation.

Numerals follow the same calligraphic modulation, with curved forms showing pronounced thick–thin transitions and angled entries/exits. In the sample text, the face builds a dark, confident color at display sizes, with noticeable character in diagonals and curves that gives headlines and short passages a distinctive voice.
