A polished serif with pronounced thick–thin contrast and tapered, slightly flared terminals that give strokes a subtly calligraphic finish. Serifs are bracketed and relatively sharp, with crisp joins and a steady, composed rhythm across text. The uppercase feels stately and evenly proportioned, while the lowercase shows traditional forms with a two-storey a and g, compact apertures, and clear, well-defined counters. Numerals follow the same high-contrast logic, reading crisp and dignified with strong vertical emphasis and refined curves.

Well suited to book and long-form editorial typography where a classic serif voice is desired, especially in larger text sizes and display settings that can showcase the stroke contrast. It also works for refined branding, mastheads, invitations, and institutional materials where a formal, established tone is appropriate.

The overall tone is traditional and authoritative, projecting a cultivated, editorial voice. Its sharp contrast and refined serifing add a sense of ceremony and gravitas, suitable for content that aims to feel established and trustworthy rather than casual.

The design appears intended to modernize a classical serif model with crisp contrast and flared finishing, balancing readability with a distinctly editorial, display-ready presence. It aims for a composed, traditional texture while adding a touch of sharpness and drama through tapered terminals and confident serif detailing.

In paragraphs, the contrast and tapered endings create a lively texture with clear word shapes, while the tight, classical detailing gives headings a confident, old-style sophistication. Curved letters like C, G, O, and Q show smooth modulation, and the Q’s tail adds a distinctive, slightly dramatic accent without becoming ornamental.
