This is a slanted serif with pronounced stroke modulation and a clear broad-nib flavor. Serifs are small and bracketed, with tapered terminals and soft, slightly irregular joins that keep the texture lively rather than mechanical. The italic construction is evident throughout, with gently swelling strokes, a subtly calligraphic axis, and rhythmic entry/exit strokes in many letters. Proportions feel traditional, with modest counters and a relatively low lowercase height against tall ascenders, producing an airy line of text. Numerals appear as old-style figures with varying heights and descenders, matching the flowing, bookish cadence of the lowercase.

It suits long-form or display-leaning editorial settings where an italic voice is desired—chapters, pull quotes, leads, and literary titling. It can also work for invitations and refined branding that benefit from a traditional, calligraphic impression, especially at medium to larger sizes where contrast and fine details remain clear.

The overall tone is literary and classical, evoking printed books and traditional correspondence. Its animated, pen-like movement reads refined and cultured, with enough warmth to feel human rather than purely formal.

The design appears intended to deliver a classical italic with visible calligraphic influence—prioritizing rhythm, elegance, and a historically familiar texture over rigid geometry. Its proportions and old-style numerals suggest an aim toward bookish readability and a cultivated tone in continuous text.

In the text sample, the italic angle and strong thick–thin contrast create a prominent diagonal flow, so spacing and word shapes become a key part of its character. The capitals are poised and slightly narrow, while the lowercase shows the most calligraphic energy in curved letters and descenders, supporting a continuous, cursive-like rhythm without becoming a script.
