A serif text face with old-style proportions and visibly uneven, textured contours that mimic ink spread or worn printing. Strokes show moderate modulation with soft joins and subtly flared terminals, and the serifs are small, bracketed, and slightly blunted rather than crisp. The rhythm is lively: curves wobble gently, stems vary a touch in thickness, and counters stay fairly open, especially in rounds like O and o. Lowercase forms appear compact with a relatively short x-height and sturdy ascenders, giving lines a classic, slightly condensed text color without feeling narrow.

Well-suited to editorial and literary contexts where a traditional serif voice is desired but with added tactile character—book covers, pull quotes, magazine features, and historical or craft-forward branding. It can also work effectively for posters and packaging that benefit from a vintage, printed-by-hand atmosphere, especially at medium to large sizes where the textured edges read clearly.

The overall tone feels archival and human—like a well-used printed page or a hand-pressed broadside. Its rough edges and irregularities add warmth and character, suggesting craft, history, and a slightly rugged authenticity rather than polished modernity.

The design appears intended to blend an old-style serif structure with purposeful roughening, evoking letterpress or aged ink while preserving familiar text proportions. It prioritizes personality and a handcrafted print feel over clinical smoothness, offering a distinctive, historically tinted tone for both headlines and supportive text.

In continuous text the texture becomes part of the voice, creating a mottled, organic color that reads as intentionally distressed. Numerals and capitals carry the same worn contour treatment, helping display settings feel cohesive, though the intentional roughness can visually thicken small details at tight sizes.
