This serif face combines sharply cut, wedge-like bracketed serifs with strong thick–thin modulation and smooth, calligraphic curves. Capitals are broad and stately with generous internal space (notably in C, O, Q), while the lowercase shows a tall x-height and clear differentiation between stems, joins, and terminals. Serifs tend to taper into the strokes rather than ending in blunt slabs, and several letters show sculpted, slightly flared endings (such as the angled arms in E/F and the lively diagonals in K, V, W, and X). The rhythm is measured and bookish, with sturdy verticals, open apertures, and numerals that feel traditional and text-oriented rather than strictly tabular.

It is well suited to long-form reading in books and editorial layouts where a traditional serif texture and clear letter separation are valued. The broad capitals and crisp contrast also support display use—chapter openings, pull quotes, magazine headings, and refined brand typography—especially at moderate to large sizes.

The overall tone is classical and cultivated, suggesting a literary or editorial tradition. Its high-contrast refinement reads as formal without becoming brittle, giving it a poised, slightly dramatic voice suited to premium typography.

The design appears intended as a conventional text serif with elevated contrast and carefully shaped serifs, balancing readability with a polished, authoritative presence. It aims to deliver a classic typographic color while adding enough sharpness and width to feel contemporary in editorial settings.

Letterforms show careful modulation at joins and curves, with a distinctive, sweeping tail on Q and a two-storey g that adds a traditional, old-style texture. The italic is not shown; the design language presented is consistent and upright, with diagonals and cross-strokes adding a subtle sense of movement.
