A conventional text serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and sharp, well-defined bracketed serifs. Strokes transition with a slightly calligraphic logic, producing crisp joins and tapered terminals, while counters remain open enough for text settings. Proportions run on the condensed side, with relatively tall capitals and a moderate x-height; curves are smooth and vertical stress is evident in rounded forms. Numerals and punctuation match the same contrast and serif treatment, maintaining a consistent, composed rhythm across the set.

Well suited to book typography and editorial layouts where a traditional serif voice is desired. It can also serve effectively for headlines, pull quotes, and magazine-style display settings that benefit from contrast and a compact measure, as well as for brand wordmarks seeking a classic, authoritative tone.

The overall tone is formal and literary, leaning toward traditional print typography. Its high-contrast color and disciplined, upright stance convey refinement and authority, with a subtly old-world, editorial feel rather than a casual or playful one.

The design appears intended as a conventional, print-oriented serif that balances elegance with legibility. Its condensed proportions and strong contrast suggest an aim toward efficient text setting and impactful editorial presence while retaining a familiar, classic typographic character.

The design shows clear differentiation between similar shapes (notably I/l/1 and O/0) through serifing and proportion, and the italic is not shown—only upright forms are evidenced here. At larger sizes the sharp serifs and contrast read especially crisp, while at smaller sizes the condensed proportions create a dense, compact texture.
