A sharply sculpted serif with pronounced stroke modulation and wedge-like, flared endings that read as chiseled rather than bracketed. Vertical stems carry most of the visual weight while hairlines thin to crisp points, creating a strong light–dark rhythm across words. Serifs and terminals often taper into triangular spurs, and several joins pinch inward, giving an ink-trap-like bite at interior corners. Proportions feel compact and authoritative, with sturdy capitals and lowercases that maintain a consistent, upright axis and clear counters despite the extreme contrast.

Best suited to display contexts where its contrast and flared terminals can stay crisp: magazine headlines, book and album covers, poster titles, and brand marks for luxury or cultural institutions. It can work for short subheads and pull quotes, but the intense modulation and sharp terminals are likely to feel busy at small text sizes or in long passages.

The tone is assertive and theatrical, combining a classical, engraved sensibility with fashion-forward punch. It feels premium and editorial—designed to command attention—while the flared, tapered details add a slightly gothic or storybook edge rather than a purely academic mood.

The design appears intended to modernize a classic high-contrast serif voice by replacing soft bracketing with flared, wedge-like endings and tightly pinched joins. The goal is to deliver maximum impact and sophistication in large settings while maintaining a disciplined, upright structure.

Round letters show a strong vertical stress, and diagonals (as in V, W, X) land in sharp, blade-like terminals that amplify the dramatic contrast. The numerals follow the same carved logic, with pointed feet and tight joins that keep the set cohesive in display sizing.
