This serif has an intentionally roughened, hand-worked texture, as if printed from worn type or inked with a slightly uneven nib. Strokes show moderate contrast with softly tapered terminals and distinctly bracketed serifs that feel carved rather than mechanical. Proportions are generous with a relatively low x-height, giving lowercase more vertical air and making capitals feel prominent. Curves and joins have subtle irregularities, and sidebearings vary enough to create a natural, slightly wandering rhythm while maintaining consistent baseline and overall stability in text.

It works best for display and short-to-medium editorial passages where a vintage, print-like texture is desirable—book covers, chapter openers, pull quotes, cultural posters, and craft-oriented packaging. For long body text at small sizes, the distressed edges and low x-height may reduce clarity, so it’s better suited to larger settings or more spacious typography.

The font conveys an antique, tactile tone—warm, a bit weathered, and distinctly literary. Its uneven edges and lively serif shapes evoke early printing, traditional book craft, and storybook or historical atmospheres rather than contemporary polish.

The design appears intended to reinterpret old-style serif lettering with a deliberately imperfect, worn impression, balancing readability with a handmade, historical character. It aims to add atmosphere and authenticity through texture and slightly irregular rhythm while preserving familiar serif structures.

In the sample text, the rough contouring remains visible at display sizes, producing a textured color across lines. The numerals follow the same worn, slightly calligraphic modeling, which helps maintain stylistic continuity in mixed alphanumeric settings.
