A very heavy serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and a clear calligraphic stress that reads strongly in large sizes. Stems and main strokes swell into flared, tapered endings, with bracketed serifs and frequent teardrop/ball-like terminals that add a softened, inked impression. Counters are compact and the rhythm is lively, with subtly varied stroke endings and a slightly sculpted, hand-cut feel across both capitals and lowercase. Numerals are similarly weighty and high-contrast, designed to match the dark, poster-like color of the text.

Works especially well for headlines, mastheads, and titles where strong contrast and sculpted serifs can be appreciated. It’s a natural fit for book covers, theatrical or editorial branding, and bold packaging where a vintage, authoritative voice is desired. Best used at medium to large sizes to preserve counter clarity and keep the texture from becoming overly dense.

The tone is bold and commanding, with a distinctly old-style, print-era character. Its high drama and dense blackness feel theatrical and slightly eccentric, balancing refinement with a muscular, attention-grabbing presence.

Likely designed to deliver a dramatic, high-impact serif voice with a traditional backbone, using flared stroke endings and expressive terminals to add personality without leaning into slab geometry. The overall intent appears geared toward display typography that evokes classic print and editorial gravitas while remaining visually distinctive.

In running text, the strong contrast and tight internal spaces create a dark texture with prominent word shapes, making it feel more suited to display and short bursts than extended small-size reading. The distinctive terminals and flared joins give it an engraved/inked personality that stands out quickly in headlines.
