This serif has an old-style, calligraphic skeleton with gently bracketed, wedge-like serifs and subtly flared terminals. Strokes show mild, pen-informed modulation and a deliberately uneven edge, creating a printed-from-type, slightly worn impression rather than crisp geometry. Proportions are compact with a notably short x-height and prominent ascenders and descenders, giving lines a vertical, bookish rhythm. Counters are open and rounded, with slightly irregular curves and varying character widths that add texture in running text.

Well-suited to long-form editorial and book settings where a traditional, humanist voice is desired, especially in print or high-resolution digital layouts. It also works effectively for chapter titles, pull quotes, and branding that benefits from an antique or craft-inflected tone, such as heritage products, artisanal packaging, or period-themed materials.

The overall tone is historical and human, evoking early book typography and hand-inked printing. Its textured edges and warm modulation feel artisanal and tactile, lending a storytelling, archival character that can read as rustic or antique without becoming ornate.

The design appears intended to reinterpret classic old-style serif forms with a deliberately imperfect, inked surface, preserving calligraphic warmth while adding a tactile, timeworn texture. Its compact lowercase and sturdy serifs aim to support readable text while imparting a distinctive, historical atmosphere.

In the sample text, the uneven outlines and lively joins create visible texture at larger sizes; at smaller sizes that texture may read as grain. Numerals and capitals carry the same hand-touched irregularity, helping headings and pull quotes feel cohesive with body text.
