A traditional serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and bracketed, wedge-like serifs. Curves are generously rounded with a slightly calligraphic stress, giving bowls and arcs a smooth, flowing rhythm, while verticals remain firm and upright. Capitals show restrained, classical proportions with crisp terminals; the lowercase is compact with clear counters, a two-storey “a,” and a distinctively curving “j” descender. Numerals follow the same high-contrast logic, with open shapes and small finishing serifs that keep them aligned with the text color.

Well suited to long-form reading such as book interiors, essays, and magazine/editorial layouts where a classic serif voice is desired. It also performs convincingly for section heads, pull quotes, and formal titling that benefits from high-contrast elegance and a traditional page color.

The overall tone is classic and literary, with a formal, editorial feel that suggests tradition and credibility. Its contrast and sharp finishing details add a touch of sophistication, while the rounded forms keep it approachable rather than austere.

This design appears intended as a conventional, readable serif for serious text work, balancing a classical silhouette with crisp contrast for clarity and presence in both body copy and display sizes.

The texture in paragraph settings appears even and composed, with strong vertical rhythm and clear word shapes. Serifs are not overly large, but they are emphatic enough to guide the eye across lines, and the contrast gives headlines a refined snap without becoming ornamental.
