A robust serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and clearly bracketed, wedge-like serifs. The capitals are wide and steady with generous internal counters, while the lowercase shows compact, rounded forms and a traditional two-storey “a,” with a strong vertical stress and crisp terminals. Strokes are firm and slightly tapered into the serifs, creating a carved, print-like rhythm that stays consistent across letters and numerals. Spacing appears even and readable, with confident, dark color that holds together well at headline sizes.

This face is well suited to headlines, subheads, and short-form text where a strong serif presence is desired—magazine layouts, book covers, and refined branding applications. Its dense color and sharp detailing also make it effective for posters and pull quotes where authority and classic tone are priorities.

The overall tone is traditional and assertive, with an unmistakably editorial, bookish voice. Its strong contrast and solid serifs communicate seriousness and trust, evoking classic publishing and institutional typography rather than casual or playful settings.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional, highly legible serif voice with elevated contrast and a confident, print-forward texture—aimed at editorial and display use where tradition and impact are both important.

The numerals share the same sturdy, high-contrast construction and feel well matched to the letterforms. Round letters (O/Q/C) keep a controlled, vertical stress, and the diagonals (V/W/X/Y) remain crisp without becoming spiky, reinforcing a polished, conventional texture.
