A textured serif with compact, sturdy letterforms and visibly rough, ink-worn edges. Strokes are generally even with modest modulation, while terminals and serifs look slightly swollen and irregular, as if printed from a distressed plate or ribbon. The alphabet shows consistent underlying structure but with deliberate surface noise, soft corners, and occasional blotting that varies from glyph to glyph. Lowercase forms are relatively compact with a modest x-height, and the overall rhythm feels slightly uneven in a natural, hand-pressed way.

Well-suited for display typography such as posters, book covers, and editorial headlines where a vintage or handmade atmosphere is desired. It can also add character to packaging, labels, and branding marks that benefit from a tactile, analog feel. For longer passages, it works best when set with generous size and spacing to keep the textured edges from visually filling in.

The font conveys a nostalgic, workmanlike tone—evoking aged printing, battered type, and tactile ink on paper. Its imperfect texture reads as authentic and handmade, giving layouts a warm, lived-in character rather than a polished, contemporary finish.

The design appears intended to mimic imperfect ink transfer and aged printing while maintaining readable, familiar serif proportions. It prioritizes atmosphere and material texture over clinical precision, offering a consistent distressed voice across uppercase, lowercase, and figures.

The distressed detailing becomes more apparent at larger sizes, where the edge wear and ink spread contribute to character, while smaller sizes may look darker and more clustered due to the texture. Numerals and capitals share the same roughened treatment, keeping headings and display settings visually unified with body text.
