A sturdy slab serif with heavy, squared-off serifs that are subtly bracketed into the stems, giving the shapes a softened, carved-in feel rather than a rigid mechanical finish. Strokes are broadly even and full-bodied, with rounded inner curves and generous counters that keep letters open despite the weight. The lowercase shows a two-storey “a” and “g” with clear, conventional construction, while the overall rhythm reads slightly compact with noticeable presence in text. Numerals and capitals maintain the same blocky, grounded structure, producing a consistent, strongly anchored color on the page.

Well suited to headlines, subheads, and display settings where a firm, attention-holding serif is needed. It also works for editorial applications—magazines, feature intros, pull quotes, and book jackets—where a classic slab voice supports readability and hierarchy. The weight and sturdy terminals make it effective for posters, packaging, and signage that benefit from a bold, trustworthy typographic presence.

The tone is confident and approachable, with a distinctly classic, print-minded character. Its chunky slabs and softened joins evoke vintage editorial typography—reliable, familiar, and a little nostalgic—while still reading cleanly in contemporary layouts.

The design appears intended to deliver a traditional slab-serif voice with strong impact and dependable legibility, balancing square, weighty terminals with softened transitions for a more welcoming texture in text and display.

In continuous text the typeface produces a dark, even texture with clear word shapes and strong vertical emphasis. The serifs are prominent enough to signal a slab identity at a glance, yet the curves and brackets prevent the forms from feeling harsh or overly industrial.
