This typeface uses an angular, blackletter-inspired skeleton with pronounced spurs and thorn-like terminals. Strokes taper into sharp points and small hooks, creating a jagged silhouette while maintaining fairly consistent stroke mass. Counters are tight and often diamond-like (notably in O/o and numerals), and many forms lean on broken, faceted curves rather than smooth rounds. The rhythm is compact with narrow letterforms and irregular protrusions that add texture along the baseline and cap line.

Best suited to large-scale applications such as posters, title cards, album artwork, and branding for horror or dark-fantasy projects. It can also work for short pull quotes or packaging accents where a sharp, threatening texture is desirable, but is less appropriate for long passages of body text.

The overall tone is ominous and arcane, evoking horror titles, dark fantasy ephemera, and occult signage. Its sharp tapering and aggressive edging give a tense, unsettling energy that reads as deliberately abrasive rather than refined.

The design appears intended to translate blackletter structure into a more sinister, spiked display voice, prioritizing atmosphere and dramatic silhouettes over neutrality. Its consistent use of hooked terminals and faceted counters suggests a focus on creating a cohesive “carved” or “cursed” look across letters and numbers.

Legibility is strongest at display sizes where the spurs and internal shapes stay distinct; at smaller sizes the tight counters and busy terminals may fill in visually. The figures and capitals match the same pointed, carved treatment, helping headings and short phrases feel cohesive.
