A high-contrast italic serif with strongly modulated strokes and sharp, tapered terminals. Serifs are bracketed and finely cut, with a lively diagonal stress that gives the forms a forward-leaning rhythm. Capitals feel stately and sculpted, while the lowercase shows a more calligraphic flow with narrow joins, pointed entry strokes, and pronounced ascenders/descenders. Numerals follow the same italic modulation, with curving forms and delicate hairlines that reinforce a polished, print-oriented texture.

Well suited to editorial typography where an italic voice is central—magazine features, pull quotes, and expressive subheads—while also working for book-style settings and classical branding. It can add sophistication to invitations and cultural materials, especially when set at comfortable text sizes or as a secondary emphasis face alongside a roman companion.

The overall tone is refined and literary, balancing tradition with a dynamic, expressive slant. Its crisp hairlines and animated curves read as elegant and cultured, suited to classic editorial voices rather than utilitarian UI styling.

The design appears intended to deliver a traditional, high-contrast italic with a calligraphic undercurrent—prioritizing elegance, rhythm, and typographic color for refined reading and expressive emphasis.

Spacing and letterfit create a smooth, continuous italic color in text, with distinctive swash-like movement in letters such as the lowercase a, f, and y. The sharpness of joins and terminals becomes more pronounced as sizes decrease, so it benefits from thoughtful sizing and adequate line spacing in longer passages.
