This typeface is a conventional serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and a strong vertical axis. Serifs are crisp and mostly wedge-like with subtle bracketing, producing pointed terminals on letters like T, V, W, and Y while maintaining a sturdy base on E, H, and N. The bowls (B, D, O, P, R) are rounded and full, with tight apertures and confident joins; interior counters stay clear despite the heavy hairlines. Lowercase forms mix sturdy vertical stems with curved, calligraphic details such as a two-storey g, a modestly looped/tailed j, and compact, slightly cupped shoulders in n and m; spacing reads even and text color is dense but controlled.

It performs best in display and editorial contexts such as magazine headlines, section openers, book covers, and high-impact pull quotes where its contrast and sharp serifs can be appreciated. It can also serve for short blocks of refined body text in print-oriented layouts, especially when set with generous size and leading.

The overall tone is authoritative and editorial, balancing tradition with a slightly theatrical sharpness. The high-contrast rhythm and pointed terminals give it a polished, headline-ready presence that feels formal, literary, and a touch dramatic rather than casual or utilitarian.

The design appears intended to deliver a classic serif voice with heightened contrast and crisp, sculpted terminals—aimed at elegant, high-impact typography that remains grounded in familiar text-serif proportions.

Figures are lining and align neatly with the caps, with clear differentiation in shapes like 6/8/9 and an open, readable 4. The sample text shows strong word-shape cohesion at larger sizes, where the contrast and crisp serifs create a lively texture; at smaller sizes, the fine hairlines and tight apertures suggest it benefits from comfortable sizes and good reproduction.
